WORLD CHAMPION
Megha represented India in the "World Aerobics Championship" held in Reno, Nevada in the year 2015. She took part in the trios event along with two other gymnastic teammates and bagged the first place to receive a gold medal for the country for the first time in history.
Best Paper - ENDOVISTA 2022
Dr. Rao won the first prize for her presentation on her original research, "Predictable Posterior Composite Restorations" in the "ENDOVISTA" national conference in the year 2022 at Mumbai.
Best Poster - 3M e-Symposium 2022
Dr. Megha Rao secured the second runner up for best poster award in her session for presenting an e-poster on "TWIP: The Triple Wall Index Putty Technique - a novel matrix technique" in the "3M e-Symposium". She has a copyright for the same from the Government of India and is in the process of filing for a patent.
Best PAPER - SASOMI (international)
Dr. Megha Rao won the first prize for her presentation in "Radix Entomolaris" in the "South Asian Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Implantologists" International conference in the year 2021.
Best PAPER - Perio Fiesta (national)
Dr. Megha Rao presented a paper on "Rehabilitation of OKC using multiple dental implants" during her undergraduate studies at GDC, Bangalore in the "Perio-fiesta" national conference held in 2018.
Best POSTER - SRM (national)
Dr. Megha Rao secured the best poster award in her session for presenting an e-poster on "Association of pulp stones with kidney stones; a systematic review and meta analysis" in the "SRM - systematic review and meta-analysis National Conference".
Best POSTER - ISPRP (national)
Dr. Megha Rao won the second place for best e-poster presentation on "Formula One Approach to Endo-Perio Lesions" in the ISPRP National Conference held in 2021.
Other achievements
In addition to these achievements she has presented her research and clinical work in various national level and international level conferences during her UG and PG studies. Her areas of interest during UG was primarily focused on Oral Cancer diagnosis, treatment and prevention. During her PG, she presented extensively on novel restorative techniques for anterior composite restorations, regenerative endodontics and aesthetic dentistry.
Her sports career did not stop after the world championship. She took part in athletics, basket ball and tennis tournaments at university level.
